Introduction to flooring
Tim and Josh Van der Veen start working with their dad polishing terrazzo — their introduction to the flooring trade.

1997
ProGrind & Polished Concrete in Australia
ProGrind is established and the family start developing and introducing polished concrete in Australia.

1999
Developing a Grinding Machine
Frustrated with their underperforming grinding machine, the Van der Veens developed and built their first planetary grinder prototype to achieve never-before-experienced power and industry-leading performance. This included the creation of Dual-Drive technology, to get complete control of their planetary head.

2000
Welcome King Concepts
Word spreads about the new machine’s performance and other contractors start wanting their own. High demand leads to the birth of King Concepts.

2007
King Concepts gets Acquired
Husqvarna acquires King Concepts. Tim, Josh and other King Concept members relocate across Europe, USA, and Asia as part of the acquisition. This sees the team educating and expanding their innovation on polished concrete across the globe. ProGrind continues operations in Australia and expands polished concrete in the flooring market.

WORX+ is born
Tim and Josh return to Australia to work for ProGrind. Contractors show up on their doorstep for machine servicing and better tooling. The increased demand for their products eventuates in the establishment of WORX+.
